Wow, this is amazing, it looks ancient yet somehow space age at the same time. I don't know what it is that makes me think 'space age', maybe it's the lid.

thats stunning! Almost makes me want to attempt the pottery wheel again except for the fact that I need a left-handed one or one that can reverse completely to work both and my school is too cheap to get one. Absolutely amazing job finishing it too!

When you finally notice the flowers of evil that I set into bloom this evening, as the bells rang, we will all be six feet under crying our eyes out like the spoilt children we are.

Fantastic vase. I had the opportunity of a ceramics class during a summer semester at university--was a cinema/animation major, but liked the fine arts too. And I had the chance to see some raku-firing. Also had help in raku-firing some small pieces of my own. (They came out iridescent gold/gray-ish. I still have them lying about this attic somewhere.)

I especially like the different colors, and the geometric patterns on it. The lid's use of a branch like shape is really unusual, and I think it's part of what sets this apart for me.

I also have to say your presentation of this piece in the image is very nice. It emphasizes the colors, and shows us the details of it. Besides I'm a sucker for gold/purple lighting.
