Hand-thrown raku fired vessel with a matte copper glaze. The dramatic lid has five radially mounted African porcupine quills. $375 USD Retail.

 Reminds me of a Bird of Paradise flower.
  The quills looks almost like stylized sun-rays. Wonderful combination!

 Beautiful embellishments as always. This shape, with the narrow bottom and heavy top scares me. Probably not a good choice if you have cats in your house.

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
